Maelys born of African parents in a Paris suburb, left home at the age of 18 determined to make her own way in the world. She eventually came to London and for the past 15 years have been leading and singing in church. In her early years she sang with the London Community Gospel Choir (KICC) which she admits is the foundation for her love for Worship Music.
In 2015, after committing to serving God with her singing and in the middle of studying for a degree, Maelys lost everything! Her marriage broke down, her business failed and she became homeless and with two children to look after and no means of supporting them. Her church calls her ‘Reverend Faith’ because despite whatever happens Maelys continues to have faith in God.
Today Maelys is restored, she has successfully completed her degree in theology and is about to embark on releasing her new album of worship songs.
